Hi Ezza,
It may differ from my area to your (as your one was a KDR), I can confirm mine is connected to the underground storm water discharge for our estate.

Just the standard heights - 2.64 d/s and the minimum 2.44 upstairs. Good thing is all d/s doors are made higher to cater for the ceiling height.
