sure.
to make homemade white oil you mix 2 cups of oil (veg, or canola, or sunflower) into 1/2 cup of dishwashing liquid not detergant.

Thanks lex. Yeah it could be possums but wouldn't they cause more damage.
Mixing molasses, water and a bit of soap adds sugar to the leaves. Caterpillars hate the taste…
